Growing up tiramisu has always been one of my favourite desserts and I finally learned how to make it so I am over the moon.
Another positive is that this recipe is incredibly easy to follow!
Serves 6
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 2 hours
Total time: 2hr 10min
Ingredients
600ml double cream
250g mascarpone
5 tbsp golden caster sugar
100ml amaretto liqueur
1 pack of lady fingers
2 tbsp coffee dissolved in 300ml hot water
20g dark chocolate
Cocoa powder to finish off the top
Whisk the double cream, mascarpone, sugar and amaretto together until it is thick and creamy.
Set aside.
Prepare the coffee.
Dip the lady fingers in the coffee (not too much so they become soggy and fall apart) then place in your dish.
Spread the cream over the lady fingers. Then grate the chocolate over the top until it covers the cream and repeat until all the lady fingers and cream is used up.
Finish off with more grated chocolate and cocoa powder.
Place in fridge for at least 2 hours so everything can set and the flavours blend together.
